Saturday Recap, August 11 2018

Another winning day. 6-4

MLB
Boston (-1.5) -170

Take the big price, its a spot that covers the -1.5 often enough to lay the juice

Washington +108

I’ve talked about Lester many times, the Cubs are favored on name recognition alone today. The Nats had a shot to win yesterday but one bad inning with a bunch of walks did them in. SD pummeled Lester in his last start and Roark has been pitching great lately. Take the Nats as a small Road Dog in Wrigley this afternoon.

Arizona -150

Matt Harvey got lit up last start, and he’s up against an Arizona team that was shut out last night.  I expect the Diamondbacks to bounce back tonight. Robbie Ray has been much better on the road. Lay the number.

Cleveland (-1.5) -140

Huge pitching mismatch with Bauer vs Shields. Since 2012 Cleveland is 18-4 on the RL off a 1 run loss after the AS Break as a fav of -140 or more. They rebound very well off a tough loss. Bauer has started 4 of them allowing 0,2,3,4 runs while the Cleveland offense has scored 4+ in 16 of those games. Great spot for Cleveland.

Houston (-1.5) +110

Another pitching mismatch between LeBlanc and Morton. Houston has lit up LeBlanc when they face him, torching him last week in Seattle. He doesn’t have great stuff, depends on balls being put in play and hoping its hit at people, and Houston can really hammer pitchers like this. Houston has scuffled a bit with the bats, but I think they can put some runs up on LeBlanc and bounce back for a solid win.

Cleveland/Houston ML PARLAY (1U/1.2U)

St Louis (-1.5) +110

Another favorite that fits a solid system play. Take the -1.5 as long as St Louis is at least -150 on the ML.

WNBA
Indiana/Las Vegas OVER 166 (50-26) (5-2)

This game fits a solid system playing the OVER when the road team just got blown out.

CFL
Montreal/Ottawa UNDER 50.5 (50-24) (3-1)

This one is based on tonight’s total compared to last week’s total.

As for the NFL, Minnesota is a play based on line movement…not to mention the fact Zimmer likes to win and cover pre season games. If you want action on that game, take Minnesota.
