Tuesday, January 31 2017 - GAME PICKS

                                                                  NBA
San Antonio 1H -5.5: (103-52, 0-0)
Charlotte/Portland OVER 215.5: (66-28, 17-9) (58-25, 9-8)
Portland -3: (27-8, 6-2)
New York/Washington UNDER 217: (55-26, 11-6)

                                         NCAAB
Temple -7.5: (97-40, 7-6)
Ohio -1.5: (33-12, 4-4) FAV ONLY
Tennessee/Auburn UNDER 161: (91-34, 31-15)

San Antonio is a 1H play, a favorite with correlation between  Fg% and turnovers. Char/Port OVER and Portland side is the same situation. Its a road team that just went over and scored a lot, vs a team that just lost a close game at home that went over. NY/Wash Under involves a home team that just won a couple games by DD against a team that just had  couple high scoring games.

All games are 1U but I will say that the Portland game looks like a solid play tonight.

Temple is a conference good RF vs a bad team that just lost. Ohio is fading a HD that gets outscored on average that just played a couple high scoring games. Ten/Aub UNDER is our Pace Play that has been very good.

Folks please read the nightly recap, in addition to the game recaps I add other pieces of information that you should be aware of.

4 NBA and 3 NCAAB.  Make sure Ohio stays favored or its a No Play. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day, and good luck with your action.

I've noticed that the email notification doesn't go out in as timely a manner as I had hoped.  I received one long after the games were played. Going forward I would not count on the email notification, and would suggest checking the site first thing in the morning. I will post all of the plays that have triggered the night before, having them ready very early in the morning.  If any other games trigger due to lines being available, I will post them later in the morning. Some lines do not come out until game day, due to injuries etc...

We had a solid day, going 3-3 NBA including a nice Best Bet 2U winner on Detroit. We took a brutal beat on the Orlando/Minnesota UNDER, the game was way under in regulation, but Wiggins made a tough shot to send it to OT and we lost in the extra session. Cleveland was never really in it, and I have decided to toss that angle.  Its now 4-8 this year and was just 50% last year. Goodbye. Brk/Mia under was a solid winner, which is what I can't say about Sac/Philly.  That game was going over after the first 5 minutes, they scored at a  rapid pace the entire game. Finally we had Memphis laying an ass kicking on Phoenix, another game that was never in doubt.

NCAA keeps rolling along, as Siena scored comfortably as a small favorite. We got a little lucky with Oklahoma St, getting a late turnover and after a battle under the basket, kicked it out for a game winning and spread covering 3 pointer. NCAAB is now 59% over 200 plays, just an incredible pace that we hope will continue.

The site has been approved for adsense, which is why you now see ads appearing down the right side of the site.  If you could take the time to just click on the ads it would help me out quite a bit. Thanks for dropping by, plays will be ready in the morning.

Monday, January 30 2017 - GAME PICKS

                                                                   NBA
Detroit +6 (2U): (51-14, 7-1) (63-15, 6-1) (53-30, 9-8)
Cleveland -4: (68-23, 4-7)
Brooklyn/Miami UNDER 219.5: (54-24, 10-6)
Orlando/Minnesota UNDER 210.5: (17-7, 3-1)
Sacramento/Philadelphia UNDER 206.5: (44-17, 2-1)
Memphis -3: (59-18, 3-4)

Detroit has several angles going for them tonight, so they will be our Best Bet and a 2U play. A RD that has given up a lot recently playing a team that just won a close one. Also a RD that just lost by a lot, they avg at least 100/gm, playing a very good team. Cleveland a very good RF that has scored a lot recently.  Brk/Mia UNDER is a home team off 2 big wins playing team that has played 2 high scoring games. Orl/Minn UNDER a non-conf HF on 1 day rest that is a decent scoring team vs a team on a BTB that just won and it went over. Sac/Phil UNDER is 2 teams that have played a lot of overs lately and we don't have a HF.  Memphis is a RF with the better defense and both teams scored well in their last game.

                                                   NCAAB
Oklahoma St -1.5: (69-29, 3-5)
Siena -1: (32-12, 3-4)

Oklahoma St a good RF on a winning streak vs a bad team in conference. Siena is fading a HD that has been outscored by their opponents TY by a decent margin, that has just played 2 high scoring games.

6 NBA games featuring a 2U play on Detroit and a relatively quiet  Monday night on the college hardwood. Thanks for stopping by and as always,  good luck with your action.

I added some things to the site, and those items are detailed in my previous post. I put up a poll asking you what features you like with regards to the daily game selection. If you could take a moment to let me know what you prefer I would really appreciate it. I would also like to thank those that sent me a gratuity, and also to those that sent me an email with some very kind words. Its greatly appreciated.  Also, you can sign up to be notified by email when I have new post. Have a great day everyone.

Biz Winners New Look

Good morning everyone, I wanted to talk about a few of the things I've added to the site.

First, I have made it easier for you to follow the site.  I have added a RSS link at the top right corner, for those with a Yahoo account you can subscribe to this site via your Yahoo account.  On your homepage you should be able to see any new posts under the RSS tab.  You can also be notified via email when I post something new. If you look on the right side border, you will find a box for your email address.  Enter your address in the box and you will be notified when I have a new post on the site.  Using this feature will always keep you up to date on the latest posts.

You will also find a featured post, right now that post is the post I created giving you some background about who I am and what my philosophy is. For those folks wanting to know a bit more about me and my wagering philosophy, I would suggest that they read that post.

I have added some links that may be of interest to some of you, they are links I visit frequently.  The Vertical is Adrian Wojnarowski's excellent site that focuses on the NBA. Scores and Odds is my go to site for a quick look at current lines and injuries. The Bloodhorse is a great resource for those interested in horse racing. Underneath the links is a listing of all previous posts I've made for those interested in looking at a previous post.

I have also constructed a poll asking all of you what features you prefer on my daily picks.  Do you like the records added after every play? Not like it?  Do you like the brief descriptions I give for each play? Or does it not really matter. Please let me know, it takes a bit of time putting in that information.  If you find it worthwhile I have no problem continuing to do so.

The picture at the top is of one of my dogs.  Rosie, nicknamed "Biz", is a little chihuahua/min pin mix that my wife and I adopted from a local rescue site when she was a puppy. Found as a stray with a horrible case of mange, the good folks at the rescue took her in and nursed her back to health. She lost her vision 4 years ago, but does just fine.  We have had her for 10 years and she is just a special little dog. I nicknamed her Biz and that name is what I used as my name at the RX and obviously use here. She is with me constantly, and when I'm writing on the blog she is usually on my lap. As well she should, its named after her.

Last thing is that I have added a PayPal button on the right side under the picture of Biz.  I have had a few people suggest I add the link, so I finally did it.  Its set at $20, so if anyone wants to send a gratuity my way that is how you can do so. If you want to send $1,000 then you have to send me $20 fifty times. I'm kidding.

Its strictly optional, nobody has to send anything. I don't do this to make a living, I do this because I love talking about sports wagering and helping others out. For those that find value in what I do, if you appreciate the work and effort, if you find it entertaining, whatever the reason you can use that link.  I see people charging $25 a day, $75-$100 a week, and several hundred a month. Crazy.  If you choose to do so it would be greatly appreciated.

If there is anything you would like to see on the site, anything you would like me to talk about please don't hesitate to contact me.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A winning NBA going 5-4, 6-3 if the NY/Atl game didn't go  to OT.  We had the Under in regulation, but a missed FT put the game at 2 instead of 3.  Carmelo scored with 2 seconds to send it to OT.  The wins were all easy wins, no sweats at all. The losses weren't too close either, we had a chance with the Warriors but they blew a big lead early and couldn't hold on to a decent lead late. So we will take the 5-4 and move on.

The NCAA was 0-2 and not much too say. SF got blown out, while the other game had a solid chance to cover but turnovers late cost them not just the cover but the game.

We had a nice winning week, I'll be back tomorrow with all of the picks.  Hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Sunday, January 29 2017 - GAME PICKS

                                                                   NBA
Houston -3: (68-33, 11-8)
San Antonio -13: (85-25, 3-0)
Dallas/San Antonio OVER 196: (86-38, 9-7)
Oklahoma City/Cleveland UNDER 220: (37-16, 7-5)
New York/Atlanta UNDER 211: (22-7, 2-1)
Philadelphia/Chicago OVER 206: (44-22, 2-1)

I have a couple additions since last night, these games did not have lines when I went to bed.

Orlando +9.5: (73-32, 2-1)
Golden St -8: (65-31, 17-7)
Golden St/Portland UNDER 230.5: (33-10, 5-2)

Orlando is a big RD off a big loss in conference. Dubs are fading an average dog that averages a lot and just scored a lot. Dubs/Port UNDER is 2 teams on winning streaks in a non-div game.

Houston is fading a HD that isn't awful, that allows a lot of points and just scored a lot. San Antonio a good team off a bad loss. Dal/SA OVER is a home team that made a lot of 3s last game and averages a lot of shots. OKC/Clev UNDER is a favorite that has allowed a lot recently vs a team off a big win. NY/Atl UNDER is a home team off a DD loss to a division rival on Sundays. Its a quirky situation, but until it stops working I'm good with it.  Finally we have Phil/Chi OVER involving a team off a DL that covered, playing a team that just lost at home and went under.

                                               NCAAB
Wisconsin Green Bay -5: (97-39, 7-5)
South Florida +25: (61-16, 7-4)

Wisc GB is a good RF vs a bad team that just lost. Same as Texas Arlington yesterday. South Florida is a road team that has allowed a lot of points lately playing a team that won but not a blowout.

6 NBA and the typical slow NCAA Sunday with just the 2 games.  There may be a few more plays, a couple NBA games have no lines yet and there are some NCAA games that won't have totals until the morning. I will check in the morning and will make a comment that the plays are final. Thanks for stopping by and as always, good luck with your action.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that's more like it. We finally got both sets of plays to click. Detroit really surprised me today.  I know Miami has been playing well lately, but it was a good spot for the Pistons and they were just outplayed tonight. The other games were solid virtually throughout, trending as wins at halftime and continuing throughout the second half.  The Sac/Cha OVER needed help after a sluggish first quarter. However, we got 50 in the second quarter and 66 in the third making for a comfortable win. Overall just a great night in the NBA. Last season I started to heat up around this time, so hopefully we can do the same this season.

The NCAA continues to be our money maker. Its been just phenomenal and today continues a pattern of really good Saturdays. Two weeks ago we went 10-3, last week we went 50% with some tough beats mixed in. Today was 8-3 that with a little luck could have been 10-1.

Depaul loses the cover by a point. Down 18 with a minute left they score a bucket with the foul. They miss the and one and are down 16.  We need one empty possession from Creighton for a push at worst. Creighton comes down and knocks down a 3, DePaul answers with a 2 and they lose by 17 on a 16 point line. Tough beat but on a day like today its hard to complain about that one. When you are running good though it would be nice to get it.

Now the Under play? That one we have every right to complain about. The total was 156 and they score 68 in the first half, so it would take 89 points to beat us.  The score was 80-59 with 2:34 left in the game. Most of the time you get a bunch of launched three pointers, or guys running offense and trying to score. Its 146 with 1:12 to go and a 20 point lead. You figure 2 or 3 more possessions and the game is over. Instead we get layups and fouls. We got 4 fouls in the last minute. Final score is 89-71 for a really incredible loss. We went 8-3 so its hard to complain about a loss, but you have to admit at a minimum 90% (and probably 95%) of the time that game stays under.

I suppose after going 8-3 you should just shut up and be thankful you had a good day, and I really am, but that losing under play at the time really got to me. Combined we went 12-4 today, and this week we have gone 31-22. Very solid week and hopefully we close it out with another winning day tomorrow.

I got the plays out a little later than I wanted to this morning, and I noticed that many people checked in before I posted them. Combined I had a little less than the usual amount of views today, but I noticed that many didn't check back in after initially visiting the site. Folks I will never not post plays and say nothing. I would never leave you hanging. If for some reason I don't post plays, for whatever reason, I will come here and leave a message. This site is growing and increasing the page views every day, and it kills me when I have a great day and people don't get the plays. If you ever stop by and the plays aren't up, check back again because I can assure you at some point they will be here. Today I posted at 9:30am with the first play starting at 10am. The remaining games started at 11am or later, plenty of time to get them in.

Thanks everyone for stopping by, and I hope many of you played the games and enjoyed a solid winning day. I know the Blog numbers are a little disappointing, but overall this year the basketball has picked up 34+ units. Not bad when most plays are 1 unit each.

Folks I don't hand out bogus 5 unit plays, or list them as $5000 plays or any other silly designation.  I give you real world wagering advice. I don't toss out 5 unit plays because of a cold streak. We grind along, and at the end of the year we take our profits.

I'll be back tomorrow morning at the latest with the plays, and hopefully I'll have them ready before then.

Saturday, January 28 2017 - GAME PICKS

                                                                  NBA
Detroit -3 (2U): (73-26, 4-0) (93-44,7-5) (53-25, 1-1)
Sacramento/Charlotte OVER 206: (39-18, 3-5)
Denver +3: (47-23, 2-5)
Denver/Phoenix OVER 228.5: (40-28, 5-2)
Brooklyn/Minnesota OVER 219.5 (2U): (39-9, 6-2)

Detroit has several situations working for them today. Playing an unrested team, fading a bad team that just won as a RD, and playing on a RF that just lost giving up a lot more than expected. Sac/Cha OVER a road team that was just a RD and gave up a lot. Denver/OVER an average RD on a winning streak. Brk/Minn OVER involves a losing team that just lost as a HF that went under, at least one of the teams is on a BTB.

Denver a 2U because of the multiple situations, Brk/Minn OVER 2U because that situation has been really good historically and TY.

                                                    NCAAB
Miami Florida +6: (52-13, 1-1)
Tennessee +2: (62-29, 2-0)
Depaul +16: (65-24, 6-3)
Texas Arlington -6 (96-39, 6-5)
East Tennessee St -4.5: (85-43, 4-2)
North Dakota -9: (69-28, 3-4)
Saint Louis +14.5: (42-17, 0-3)
No Colorado/So Utah UNDER 157: (91-33, 31-14)
UTEP: +13: (65-24, 6-3)
Western Illinois +1.5: (37-15, 5-4)
Colorado +7 : (52-13, 1-1)

Miami Fla fade a RF that gave a up a lot, and both teams shoot the ball pretty well. Tennessee is our underperforming HD, one of my favorite situations. Depaul a RD with a bad ATS vs a good ATS. Texas Arl is a good RF vs a bad team that just lost. E Tenn St is a HF that just scored a lot, both teams are average defensively. North Dakota a RF on a winning streak vs a bad team. ND was just in this situation the other night and lost, these dudes owe us one. Saint Louis a DD RD that isn't a great offensive team, off a home game where they gave up a lot. I know, that sounds like a recipe for disaster and its 0-3 TY.  But its always been a fantastic situation and I'm not giving up on it just yet. The UNDER play is our "famous" pace under play. My buddy just asked me if I have one, I said yes. He was trying to find an emoji for an orgasm, I told him please don't. Very solid angle and its been outstanding TY. UTEP same as Depaul, bad ATS vs good ATS. Western Illinois is a RF/small RD that scores a lot and just got blown out. Colorado same as Miami Fla.

I didn't designate anything as a 2U, but I do have a few I like more than some others.  Obviously the UNDER play involving pace is one of them. Tennessee is another, I love that underperforming HD play.  The sweet spot is around 3-6 points, but small dogs do well too (20-11 if its 2 or less).

Thank you very much for stopping by, I know we have had a rough stretch lately.  I'm not an excuse maker, scoreboard is scoreboard but man can anyone say we haven't caught many breaks lately? Its a new day, so lets stay positive and get a winning day.

Last thing.....I love horse racing and today is the Pegasus World Cup featuring California Chrome in the last race of his career.  Post Time is around 2:40 PST/5:30 EST and its on NBC.  His main rival is Arrogate, the horse that beat him in last years Breeders' Cup. That is my viewing tip for today.  Also the Kansas/Kentucky game at 3pm today should be a great one. If there are any horse racing fans out there, drop me a line in the comments. Curious if I have any racing fans.
Have a great day and as always, good luck with your action.

Friday, January 27 2017 - RECAP

                                                NBA
San Antonio -6: (59-17, 3-3)

Houston -6.5: (68-22, 4-6)
Washington/Atlanta UNDER 214.5: (36-16, 6-5)
Charlotte/New York UNDER 211: (57-18, 11-3)
Sacramento/Indiana UNDER 211.5: (57-18, 11-3)
Indiana -4.5: (65-30, 17-7)

Valparaiso -9: (85-43, 4-2)
Wright St/Valparaiso UNDER 145: (37-19, 4-4)
Quinnipiac +14: (59-24, 4-5

Current Record: 111-79 (+28.0)
Blog Record: 76-82 (-14.65)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
San Antonio up at half and get whipped in the 2H. Chicago announced Wade and Butler benched to start the game, I probably pass a 1H bet if I knew that but today is the day I get the plays out early. Great. Houston covering comfortably very late, we lose on a 28 footer for 3 on the last shot of the game.

We got the Under home in Atlanta. Cha/NY had  chance but went over. Indiana loses the cover by a half point. The Under wins in regulation......except they played OT. Just a brutal day, and once again we get very little in the form of any type of breaks. Its a 3-4 small losing day if we get no OT and Stauskas doesn't hit a bomb in a game already decided.

NCAAB a solid 2-1. Not much to say there.

NBA is really hit or miss right now, I mentioned earlier this week that you may want to back off the NBA a bit and focus on the NCAAB which has been very good. That's all I have to say for tonight. Those 2 losses put me in a bit of a sour mood, so its on to tomorrow for a big day. I'll have games out later tonight/early in the morning as the NCAA games start early.  Looking forward to a winning day. See you tomorrow.

Friday, January 27 2017 - GAME PICKS

                                                                  NBA
San Antonio -6: (59-17, 3-3)
Chicago 1H -4.5: (50-2, 0-0)
Houston -6.5: (68-22, 4-6)
Washington/Atlanta UNDER 214.5: (36-16, 6-5)
Charlotte/New York UNDER 211: (57-18, 11-3)
Sacramento/Indiana UNDER 211.5: (57-18, 11-3)
Indiana -4.5: (65-30, 17-7)

SA a RF with the better defense and both scored well last game. Chicago is a FIRST HALF play, we are fading a dog that just won. There is also a correlation between the avg points scored vs the avg points allowed by the opp. Houston an excellent RF that has scored a lot recently on short rest. Wash/Atl UNDER involves a favorite that has allowed a lot of points recently vs a team that just won by DD. The other 2 UNDER plays involve the same situation: a team that has allowed over 100 points a lot lately, both teams do not have a large gap regarding their net points. Finally we have Indiana, where we are fading an average/high scoring Dog that just scored a lot.

                                                   NCAAB
Valparaiso -9: (85-43, 4-2)
Wright St/Valparaiso UNDER 145: (37-19, 4-4)
Quinnipiac +14: (59-24, 4-5)

Valpo a HF that just scored a lot, both average defenses. The UNDER involves a team off 4 consecutive DD wins playing a team that just had a high scoring game. Quinnipiac a DD RD that just allowed a lot of points, vs  team that scores and allows a lot of points.

We have a typical busy NBA Friday and the usual quiet NCAA Friday before what should be a very busy college day tomorrow. Have a great day and good luck with your action

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last night I mentioned that you should always wait if you are playing any Under. Tonight 2 of the 3 Under plays had lines that went up. Ind/Minn closed at 213, you should have either pushed or won that game.  It was 211 this afternoon, and as I explained last night I have to put down a number for grading purposes. I got 213 for the win, I'll grade as a loss but realistically it was a 4-0 night or 3-0-1 at worst.  The last 30 seconds of that game were a complete joke, it really makes you wonder sometimes if these guys know what the number is and try to hit it.  Denver closed at -6.5, it bounced around from -6 to -7. Hopefully nobody took -7. A very solid NBA night for the second night in a row. I look for that to continue.

Oregon/Utah closed at 145 from an open of 143. The results were deserved, but I have to say the 2U loss was a little frustrating.  A 138 total with 75 points in the 1st half, we only needed 63 for a push. WK after scoring 46 in the 1H only score 19 in the 2H for a combined 52 second half points. So a disappointing 3-4 NCAA with a 2U loser.

I'm a little under the weather so I'll cut this short.  I'll have the Friday games up at the usual time, and Saturday should be another busy NCAAB day. Thanks for stopping by.

Thursday, January 26 2017 - GAME PICKS

                                                                  NBA
Denver -6.5: (58-20, 2-1)
Oklahoma City -9 : (32-10, 2-1)
Indiana/Minnesota UNDER 211: (27-7, 3-3)
Los Angeles Lakers/Utah UNDER 202: (31-17, 5-2)

Denver is a game where we Fade the dog that just lost by a point, as long as its a non-div game. OKC is a HF on a BTB that just won as a fav scoring a lot of fast break points. Ind/Minn Under involves a team that has allowed a lot of points lately playing a team that just won a close one.  LAL/Utah Under involves a RD that just lost while scoring a chunk of their points from beyond the arc.

                                               NCAAB
Niagara -3: (60-16, 6-4)
North Dakota -9: (96-38, 6-4)
Tennessee-Martin -1: (68-28, 2-4)
Indiana/Michigan UNDER 146: (78-31, 0-1)
Oregon/Utah UNDER 143: (78-31, 0-1)
St Mary's -13: (65-24, 2-1)
UTEP/Western Kentucky OVER 138 (2U): (46-25, 5-1)

Niagara the same as VMI last night. North Dakota a good RF playing a bad team that just lost in Conf. Ten-Martin a RF on a winning streak vs a bad team. Both Under plays are the same situation, teams that both shoot the ball well from the field.  St Mary's is a play against a team that is a DD dog on a ATS winning streak. UTEP/W Ky OVER is a RD off a home blowout win vs a team off a road loss by DD. Same situation as the Aub/So Car game a few days ago. I almost made that one a 2U play, but didn't like that those teams played a ton of Unders. Of course it flew over the total and is 27-7 since 2013. Statistically its the best play on the board. Its getting a 2U designation.

4 NBA and 7 NCAAB, hopefully we can string some winning NBA days together to match what the NCAAB is doing this year. I would also suggest that everyone check out the Recap I post every day. I have many things I talk about and it allows me a bit more time to discuss various topics. The daily picks are more nuts and bolts get the play out. I average a little less than half the amount of views for the Recap as I do for game picks. Have a great day and good luck with your action. I'll be back tonight for a full recap.

NBA a nice 3-1-1 or 4-1 depending on your line. More on that.  The other 3 winners finally made for a nice NBA night.  The Phil/Mil Over was a really good play, and brings me to another point I want to make.

When you see me add additional information, like the 16-4 BTB record, I do that to give you more confidence in the play. You can add a bit more to it, make it  2U, or just play that with a few other plays you like.  I have a buddy that lives in Florida and he has been following my plays for some time now. We usually talk after I get off work at 1am, 4am his time as he is just getting up to start his day. He mentioned to me he played the pace play Under in the NCAA and the Phil/Mil Over. I asked him why just those 2,  and he said they were by far the 2 strongest plays. He absolutely loves the pace Under play and hammers it every time he sees it. He also really liked the 16-4 BTB numbers I provided for the other play, so he played that one too.  I have another friend that will ask me for my favorite play of the day, and today he texted me around 3pm. I told him the Over play in the NBA and the Under play in the NCAA.  He didn't want everything, just my favorite plays.

The NCAAB was a split out, Western Carolina lost by nearly 50.  VMI wins outright in a blowout as a 20 point dog. Try to make sense out of those 2 results.

Ok, about the Hou/Bos line.  I explained where I get the numbers. I don't usually make my plays until later, depending on what I think the lines will do. A general rule of thumb is to wait on Unders, and play Overs sooner. The main reason is that most of the time totals rise. The public loves them. So I log into my account, and play the Under 230 before I left for work around 3:45pm for a 5pm game.  After the game another buddy of mine texts me to thank me for a 5-1 night (I gave him the Atl/Chi over too, he specifically asked about that game). I'm thinking everyone got 230, and was surprised that I put down 229 on here. So I changed the number to the line that I played, I figured everyone got that number. I was wrong, as Andrew pointed out to me so I changed it back.

The main point I want to make is that the only line that matters is the line that YOU got. Not mine, not some arbitrary line here, not what your buddy got. What you got.  I wanted the record to reflect a win because I did win that game. At the end of the day, the only record that matters is yours.

I'm not a tout service, looking to drum up sales by posting remarkable winning records.  My goal here is to provide you quality information, game selections based on sound reasoning and a winning history, thoughtful analysis on whatever topic I choose to talk about, and most importantly to make this a fun and profitable endeavor.

I have no problem with the person asking about the line change. Fair question, and I answered it honestly. I would like to thank those that came to my defense, I appreciate it but to be fair the man did have a point. And Andrew, my apologies for assuming you got 230. Clearly I was incorrect.  To the other person who left a comment without signing in, thank you also for your kind words. Mr Sniff, thanks for the support. You mentioned a Paypal link for a gratuity. Perhaps in the future if someone would like send a gratuity or something as a thank you, I'll do that. For now, I would just like to focus on bringing everyone solid information and winners.

I created this Blog so I can share my knowledge and passion for sports and wagering on them. I wanted to gain a following of like minded people, people who love sports and enjoy the challenge of picking the right side. I spend an enormous amount of time and energy on this.  Researching plays, compiling a database of situations that are profitable, etc..

We had a nice winning day.  Thanks to all of you for stopping by.  I'll be back tomorrow with the day's plays.

Wednesday, January 25 2017 - Game Picks

                                                                   NBA
Houston -3.5: (56-27, 0-2) (68-32, 11-7)
Houston/Boston UNDER 229: 25-10, 1-0)
Dallas -3.5: (98-41, 3-1) (64-30, 16-7)
New York/Dallas UNDER 201.5: (49-21, 5-3)
Philadelphia/Milwaukee OVER 207.5: (46-21, 1-0) 16-4 on a BTB, 1-0 TY

Boston is Fade material today, a HD that just lost on the road with a decent WP. Also fading a HD that is allows a lot of points and they scored a lot last game. The UNDER play involves a team that just lost as a RF (Houston) committing a lot of TOs. Dallas is a well rested favorite playing another bad team. Also fading a mediocre team that averages a lot of points and scored a lot last game. The NY/Dal UNDER involves a RD that has allowed a lot recently and is a good offensive team. Philly/Mil OVER involves a RD that just won at home by DD while scoring a lot more than expected. When the team is on a BTB the Over has gone 16-4.

                                               NCAAB
Western Carolina +15.5: (42-16, 0-2)
VMI +20: (59-16, 5-4)
UNLV/Wyoming UNDER 152.5: (92-32, 32-13)
UC Santa Barbara +1.5: (37-14, 5-3)

W Carolina is a DD RD that doesn't score a lot and they gave up quite a bit last game, playing a team with a mediocre defense. VMI a road team that has allowed a lot of points recently, playing a team that won but didn't blowout their last opponent. The UNDER is our pace play that has been tremendous all year long. Finally we have UCSB as a RF/Small RD that scores a lot of points and just got blown out.

5 NBA and 4 NCAAB.  I'll be back later tonight with a full recap of the day's action and some thoughts on when is it a good time to place your wager. I saw a some misinformation floating around on the site promotions forum about that. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day, and good luck with your action.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope you guys waited on Boston as instructed, they flipped to a dog by game time which made them a PASS. We did have a 2U play on the UNDER which lost, Phoenix went off as a small dog which made that a 2U play. Denver a solid winner but the OVER never felt like it was going to get there.  A very frustrating year with totals, I would venture a guess that totals are performing much worse than sides this year.

The NCAAB continues to roll, 3-1 with 3 very solid wins. The OVER play was solid throughout, I'm a little upset that I passed on the 2U play and made it 1U only. I couldn't get past the fact both teams play to a lot of Unders, but I should have listened to what the numbers said. Tennessee a solid outright dog winner, while Iowa St opened up a 20 point lead and then made us sweat as Kansas St had a chance for a sick backdoor cover. Up 4 with 16 seconds left, Iowa St gets a steal and an uncontested dunk only to have the guy clank it off the rim.  Somehow a foul was called, he splits the FTs and its a 5 point lead.  Any bucket and we get a backbreaking backdoor non cover, luckily the Cyclones decided to play a little defense on the last shot forcing a miss and the cover.

OK, I have to admit something.  I've talked about that angle that is 9-0 this year?  Well, St Joseph's was a play and I passed it. Why?  Their leading scorer and top overall player was out.  So what happens?  St Joe's leads most of the game and damn near wins the game outright, easily covering the 10 points spread. Just sickening. Believe me,  I will never make that mistake again. If its a play, especially a spectacular play like that one, just play it.

Ok, another winning NCAAB night and a small losing NBA.  I really can't blame anyone for playing the NBA lightly or picking the games you agree with, but the NCAAB has been great and should be played with confidence. I'll be back early tomorrow afternoon with all of the game picks.
