Solid fade spot on the Angels where they have lost the last 36 games in this situation with 28 by 2+. Ohtani also returns to the mound, have to wonder how effective he’ll be.

Savannah St fits a week 1 system. We are playing 4+ TD dogs with a moderate total vs a bowl team from last year. We have another one on Saturday. Its really hard to play teams laying this many points, and yes its entirely possible teams like this get blown out. Its 45-18 since 2005, the last 3 years 12-1, 4-2, 5-4 with the next 2 years 2-5, 1-2 followed by 3-0, 9-1. 

As you can see some years a lot of plays, other years not too many. There is only one other game that is triggered by this system. Hold your nose and play Savannah St +38.5

Missouri St +42.5

Northwestern St +47

Both teams fit the same situation. Again a 4+ TD dog playing a bowl team, the total is 56+ and the line moves with them (line rises). 36-12 since 2005 and never a losing year. 20-2 the last 3 years, 10-5 the 3 years prior to that.  We are just hoping these guys don’t give up 60+ points. 

One other game triggered for Saturday.  Again, hold your nose and play Missouri St +40 and Northwestern St +47. 

At no point during these games will you feel comfortable. We are huge dogs and these teams will give up a lot of points. Missou St is playing in Stillwater, and I’m sure Ok St will score plenty. We just need a cover.

What a brutal B8. 2 run lead and relievers come in and walk batters. Walking a guy hitting a buck 45 with 2 outs and a 7-6 lead was inexcusable.

Colorado is a system play.  

Baltimore has lost 8 in a row, and just dropped a series to the hated Yankees.  They are home vs Toronto, and Toronto isn’t great by any means. Gaviglio is 2-7 on the road this year. The opponent has scored 6+ in 8 of them. The problem is that the Orioles have scuffled a bit offensively lately. Hess has been up and down, but has allowed 3 or less in his last 3 starts. 

I’m taking a shot with the awful Orioles tonight. They can’t lose every game, and tonight Toronto is a very beatable opponent. Slight line drop with 74% on Toronto.

CFL game wins both with 2 min left.  Just need Calgary to get a couple 1st downs and run out the clock.  They hit a long TD pass, then on the next desperate drive Winnipeg throws a Pick 6. From 2-0 to 0-2 in 30 seconds.

Rod Fav system that is 84-25 ML and 75-34 RL. Solid ROI for both plays. TY 24-9 and 22-11. Taking the -1.5 with Atlanta.

77% bets on Boston yet 58% money on the Rays. TB has had a sneaky good year, and have played well at home going 38-24. Boston sends out Hector Velasquez, so getting a back end rotation guy laying a price on the road. I’ll take a shot with the Rays tonight.  

Pittsburgh +117

71%/66% bets/money for Milwaukee and the line hasn’t moved. I like the Musgrove/Miley matchup for Pittsburgh. Pirates are really scuffling with the bats, but a change of venue starting a road trip may wake them up. Taking the Pirates at plus money.

Minnesota +115

The A’s are my favorite team in any sport. I think they may start to come back to earth after a scorching hot 2 months. 85%/70% yet the line has dropped 11 cents. They also fit a long time angle that I’ve mentioned before, a good team that has finally lost two in a row after having had a 5+ game winning streak. A’s had a nice win streak earlier and finally lost consecutive games.  Taking the Twins.

Few things at work here. The Reds are 8-5 in games DeSclafani starts with a 25.5% ROI, he’s 6-2 as a dog 71.8% ROI. The Cubs have lost their last 10 games going back the last couple seasons as a 165+ fav, off a game as a fav with several multi run innings and less than 15 hits. 0-3 this year each time a 200+ fav. In these 10 games they have never scored more than 5 runs and eight times 4 or less. 

Yesterday they scored 8 runs, they scored one run the previous 5 games. Over their last 14 games they have scored more than 5 runs twice, 5 runs once, and 4 or less the other 11 games. They are 11-2-1 at today’s TT their last 14 games. The TT UNDER 5 is definitely something to think about.

Tampa Bay/Oakland ML Parlay +148

I talked about TB above. Oakland has won their last 18 games as a 140+ favorite when they scored in 2 or fewer innings in their previous game. 17-0 this year. They tend to bounce back after a lack luster offensive showing. They don’t necessarily explode, 6+ runs 11 times those 18 games. The OVER 5 is juiced at -140 making this too expensive to play. Take TB/Oak in a ML parlay.

Cubs in a great spot when Lester is off a game with no walks and he gave up 6 or less. Won last 15 with 12 covering the -1.5. Detroit has lost 20 straight, 15 by 2+, they are a Home Dog off a game where they had less LOB than their Opponent and its AASB. Laying the -1.5 here.

3-3, 3-2 if you played listed pitchers with Seattle. Seattle had their chances in a close 3-2 loss, and the Chi Sox blew a great chance at the lead B8 with awful base running.

We hit them last night at a nice price, on them again. Berrios for Minnesota is 2-15 on the road when he won his last start, having lost his last 14 starts in this situation. We also get the debut of the hard throwing Michael Kopech, the prized acquisition from the Chris Sale trade. This dude hits 100+, and is getting a nice audition in the bigs. This line has dropped from +125. Take the Chi Sox again.

St Louis/LA Dodgers UNDER 8.5

Solid spot with two pitchers that in their last start threw 6+ scoreless innings.

Atlanta up 3-0, 2 out/bases empty and they can't close the game. Denver allows 2 TDS in the last 8 minutes to lose the game. Can't wait for the regular season. 

Baseball continues to run well, 15-13 last week for +4.6 units.

Umpire play, Nick Lentz is our guy. Totals of 4.5 or 5 he’s 31-14 and 26-9 the last 2 years after going 5-5 in 2016. He’s a newer ump and really trends to the UNDER. This year he’s 12-4.

Chicago Cubs/Pittsburgh UNDER 8.5

Situational play with a Road Dog that was favored last game and didn’t score after the 3rd inning. 71-29 since 2010, 4-5 the last couple years after going 3-7 in 2016. My notes also say take the 1st inning NO. 

Atlanta (-1.5) +137

Great spot for Atlanta, pitching matchup in their favor. Senzatela not as good on the road, while Foltynewicz has some really good home numbers. 8 times this year Colorado has won the first two games of a road series and have lost Gm 3 seven times all by 2+ runs. Lets grab some of that plus money with the Braves.

Umpire play with Hal Gibson III. Games in the 5-5.5 range he’s 25-7-3 and 3-2-1 this year. Been in the league since 2013 and had a winning OVER record each year. Lets roll with the OVER F5 today.

Friday Recap, August 17 2018

A complete split out thanks to the awful CFL game. MLB again with a solid night, 3-1 missing the 4-0 losing the OVER in the NYM/Phil game.  We got 3 runs early but just couldn’t scratch across much more. A great late inning rally by both teams got us the OVER in Minnesota, Mil/StL gave us a ridiculous sweat after they were cruising to an Under but it got there…and our Parlay hit when the Yankees game was called after 7 inn.

The WNBA was 4-3, but a little disappointed in those totals. Geezus I thought Dirk suited up in Dallas. High scores everywhere, but they didn’t crush us going 2-3 while we got both sides to hit to get us a positive day with the ladies.

This one is team specific to the Mets.  They have gone OVER the last 19 games as a Road Dog of 140+ when they lost their previous game when they held the lead and its AASB (After All Star Break). Today we have Syndegaard vs Nola, two very good pitchers. There have been several games with strong pitching matchups and the games has soared Over the number. Take the OVER 7.5

Detroit/Minnesota OVER 8.5

This is an umpire play with Las Diaz behind the plate. AL games with a total of 8-8.5 he has gone 49-19 since 2008 and 2-2 this year. Strictly an umpire play, take the OVER 8.5

Milwaukee/St Louis UNDER 8

Peralta has never faced St Louis, and his K rate is over 12+ per 9 innings in road games. Milwaukee has struggled facing Flaherty in the past, hitting .143 in 48 plate appearances. Flaherty also pitches much better at home. Take the UNDER 8

Marcus Stroman has lost his last 12 starts as a Road Dog when he won his previous start. 12-1 in his career. Yankees -190 so I’m attaching it with these two games. Scherzer home vs Miami and Carrasco home vs Baltimore. Both huge favorites.

LA/Wash and Minn/Conn also fit a solid system, two winning teams with the home team playing very well lately, winning 5/6 out of their last 7 games. These are also Under situations.

LA fits a situation involving a road dog that hasn’t covered their last 3 games.  Phoenix is a play against their opponent, Atlanta a Road Dog that has won their last 3 games.
